SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 103
(By Senators Bailey and Wooton)
Congratulating the Oceana High School basketball team for winning
the state Class AA championship.
Whereas, The Oceana High School basketball team participated
in the state championship play-offs and won the Class AA
championship; and
Whereas, Head coach Jim Hopkins and the members of his
coaching staff take great pride in leading their team to victory;
and
Whereas, The athletic ability of the Oceana High School
basketball team, together with the outstanding sportsmanship of
each player and the enthusiastic support of the cheerleaders,
families and friends, helped to make winning the state Class AA
championship a reality; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Oceana High School basketball team is hereby
congratulated for an outstanding basketball season and for
winning the state Class AA basketball championship; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to
forward a copy of this resolution to head coach Jim Hopkins and
the principal of Oceana High School, Mike Brenick.
